NASA has awarded Hydrosat a contract for commercial satellite data through its Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition (CSDA) Program

25 Jun, 2026

The multi-award IDIQ has a maximum value of $476 million and adds Hydrosat to NASA’s commercial data provider network for future Earth observation data acquisition.

Soon, researchers and approved users will be able to access Hydrosat’s thermal and multispectral data products through the NASA Satellite Data Explorer (SDX).

This is an important milestone for Hydrosat's team. It reflects a long-standing need in the research community for better thermal revisit and resolution to support more frequent monitoring of environmental conditions and surface temperature dynamics.

It also marks:
🚀 A new step in our ongoing collaboration with NASA
🛰️ Broader access to our thermal and multispectral data products
🌍 A growing role for commercial satellite capabilities in Earth science research and operational applications

Hydrosat is proud to support the global Earth science community and excited to see how broader access to thermal satellite data can support new research, innovation, and discovery.
